Psychologist

Status: Open Posting: 026-01316The Mental Health Social Worker I position involves completing the intake process for children and youth who are experiencing emotional/behavioural/social difficulties and their families. Through active liaising with parents (and/or collaterals) and community services, the Mental Health Social Worker I works with a multidisciplinary team to complete the initial intake screening to determine service needs. In addition, the Mental Health Social Worker I will provide professional and confidential services through the Urgent Response Service in a comprehensive, flexible, and timely manner, including: screening and intake of children/ youth with Autism who request the service; providing service navigation for all children/ youth referred; and leading the development, monitoring and evaluation of the Urgent Reponses Service Plan for those who meet the criteria for the service. The Mental Health Social Worker I will use a family centered approach with a focus on each individual’s strengths. Co-facilitation of treatment groups for children/youth may be requested.
